We grew up inside the loom's reach.

From Agra, the craft surrounds you. Drive a little in any direction and you arrive at a karkhana that has been running for generations. We watched wool become knots, and knots become rugs, long before we knew it would become our work.

Bhadohi and Mirzapur, a stretch to the east, are the heart of India's hand-knotted trade. Jaipur, to the west, carries centuries of colour and pattern. Panipat, to the north, is where much of the country's woven flooring is finished. And far to the north, Kashmir gives us the fine silk-and-wool knots that take a weaver months to complete.

Today, the three of us live on three continents. What we share is the same conviction we grew up with: that a rug is one of the finest objects a home can hold. It anchors a room, tells a story, and elevates the space around it. Mofu Studio exists to fill homes across the world with the most beautiful, intricately woven rugs India has to offer.
